Thank you for your interest in adopting an animal from us. Every animal in our care is carefully assessed by our team at the sanctuary. We take time to consider each animal's rehoming requirements so that we can help find the best home for them. We will always put the needs of our animals first with every adoption.

Enquire

If you are interested in offering an animal a forever home then please get in touch. We have an adoption form available to complete on our website, or we can send you a copy via email. If you do complete our online adoption form and are interested in a particular animal, then please drop us an email to let us know. We advertise animals on our website, however please be advised that we may not list every available animal if a suitable match can be found on our waiting list.

If you have completed an adoption form, and are not interested in a specific animal, then you will be added to our waiting list. We will contact you as soon as a suitable match becomes available for adoption. Please bear with us during this time as we receive a lot of enquiries and have long waiting lists, particularly for our cats.

View

If you are a match for one of our animals, we will then contact you via phone or email to discuss the animal's details. We will provide you with the health and welfare information that our team has collected during the animals stay with us.

If you are happy to proceed, we will then book you in for a viewing so you can come and meet the chosen animal. Please note that some animals may require multiple viewings before you are able to take them home, and we always require potential adopters to attend a minimum of 2 viewings before taking a cat home.

Reserve

If the first viewing goes well then it will be possible to reserve the animal at this time. However, please be advised that we may invite multiple people to view our animals so that we have an opportunity to find them the best possible match. If this is the case, then reservation of an animal will be delayed until all the viewings have gone ahead. A member of our team will follow up with each of you who has viewed the animal to let you know if you are the best match. If we feel someone else is a better match then you will be invited to remain on our waiting list if you'd like to.

We require 50% of the adoption fee to be paid when you reserve an animal. We usually allow animals to be reserved for up to 7 days, and will arrange a collection date with you when completing the reservation paperwork.

Adopt

The collection date will be arranged for a time after all the viewings have been carried out, however the collection can take place on the same day as the final viewing providing all goes well at each of the viewings.

The remainder of the adoption fee is payable on the day of collection. The adoption fee varies per animal, and for our cats the fee reflects whether they have been vaccinated or not. Our cat adoption fees include the cost of neutering, microchipping, flea & worm treatment, and any other veterinary care they have had. We also offer 5 weeks of pet insurance with Agria at no extra cost. (Please see our Price Guide for full details.)

You must bring a secure carrier with you to transport your animal. Our team will be able to advise you on the appropriate size for your animal. We also have second hand carriers available to purchase.

We will ask you to review and sign our adoption paperwork on the day of collection. Please be advised that we will need to see photo ID, proof of address, and landlord consent (if applicable) to process the adoption.

After

We would love for you to keep in touch after you take your animal home, so please feel free to share any stories or photos with us. We are also very happy to offer post-adoption support, and you are welcome to contact us if you have any questions or need any advice.

We hope these guidelines help to explain our rehoming process, but please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries.
