Volunteers at Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary

Please bring donations between the hours of 8.30am and 4pm any day of the week/weekend. Please do not leave items outside of the shared gateway. Many thanks!

Give as you Live

One of the easiest ways to help raise money for the Sanctuary is to install the Give as you Live plug-in on your browser. With this in place, every time you shop on Amazon, John Lewis and most other online stores, the Sanctuary (if it is your chosen charity) will receive a small percentage. It costs you nothing and is so simple to use. Install it now and start helping the Sanctuary next time you shop.

Sponsor an animal - become a "Friend of Redgate"

Help to keep our animals happy and healthy by sponsoring one or more of them for 12 months. You will receive certification with your name and set of pictures of the animal. You will also receive quarterly news letters to keep you in touch with the sanctuary. This is great as a gift for someone. The minimum sponsorship we ask for is £10 per animal for 12 months. You can request a Sponsorship by sending us an email through the contact us page.

Items that we always need!

Here is a list of our necessities that we are always in need of; Any licensed cat/kitten flea or worming treatments such as Frontline plus, Advantage, any Drontal products, Panacur Products, Advocate, Broadline, Stronghold, Bravecto, Profender etc.

Cat litter of any brand/type, Animal food, used towels and blankets are useful and pet beds.

Fresh Fruit & Vegetables

Lots of our animals have fresh supplements to their daily feeds, although we cannot feed kitchen scraps, all other fruit or vegetables are very much enjoyed.

Cat & Kitten food

We have many feline residents here at the sanctuary and food donations are very gratefully received by them all. The kittens eat especially well so kitten meat or biscuits will always be in great need.

Canned fish

You would be helping treat some of the cats who are poorly and need an appetite boost, and cats that need to have medication in their food. Tuna, sardines and pilchards are all very much welcomed by poorly felines.

Volunteering, Duke of Edinburgh award volunteering and work experience

We are always in need of help either at the Sanctuary or in our shops. We don't expect a huge commitment, just a couple of hours each week (or more if you want). This would be much appreciate by the staff at the Sanctuary and the animals. Some examples of the assistance we require are below:

  • Small animal care, feeding, grooming and socializing.
  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Driving
  • Helping in the shops

Please email us through the contact us page to express interest.

If you are taking part in, or organising an event and would like the money raised to go to Redgate, we will gladly help to produce sponsor forms, advertise the event and set up an online fundraising page. Please contact us for more info. Thanks!
